It took a couple reloads to show up, but sure enough: it’s new and it’s freaking me out too.
For me, it’s only appearing on the login screen. It is, after all, only the familiar “g” from the Google search page, so it’s not as bad as it could be… like if it were a pigeon, or a disc, or a postal horn.
Wait, a postal horn!
